Since 1940 The Herlitz Company has run hundreds of national and international meetings, from as many as 35,000 registrants and more than 1,100 exhibit booths, to the intimate C-Level round table gatherings. We handle exhibit management, exhibit guides and are publishers representatives for many prestigious scientific societies and associations of varying sizes.

Deep Industry Knowledge and Experience

Our founder Steve Herlitz (1910-2002), was a founding member and 1st President of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), the premiere group in the world of medical meetings. Steve also founded The Association for Medical and Allied Publications (AMAP), pioneered efforts in Closed Circuit Television, in audio/visual education, and founded the Audio Visual Medical Marketing (AVMD). Steve developed the world class medical events organization at Herlitz and with Steve’s retirement, his son Bruce and grandson Kris, then became sole proprietors of The Herlitz Company. Kristofer Steven Herlitz continues to expand Herlitz and provides expertise on numerous medical industry related meetings and conferences. Today, as President, Kristofer oversees all operations. As a Past-President and Webmaster of the New York Chapter of PCMA, past board member of the International Rett Syndrome Association (now IRSF), member of the National Press Club and many other fine industry organizations, Kris looks forward to Herlitz’s continued service within the medical conference environment and to developing new industry expositions and conferences that will provide the platform for medical and healthcare advancement well into the future.

Herlitz published the earliest medical tabloids for the American Psychiatric Association, Psychiatric News, an independent tabloid, U.S. Medicine, three tabloids, Oncology Times, Emergency Department News, and Orthopedic Product News, that were sold to the JB Lippincott Company.
